Funding & Eligibility
Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund
AirEx Floorvent is eligible under the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, supporting upgrades in social housing with EPC ratings of D or below. It offers a fast, low-cost way to improve energy efficiency in homes that are often hard to treat.
Because Floorvent improves SAP scores by 2 to 4 points, it helps landlords meet retrofit targets quickly and with minimal disruption. It’s ideal for suspended timber floors, often overlooked in retrofit planning but responsible for significant heat loss.
The product is BBA certified, PAS 2035 compliant, and delivers verified energy savings, helping social landlords access funding while improving resident comfort and lowering heating bills.
Local authorities can access funding through the Warm Homes: Local Authority Grant to deliver energy-saving improvements in eligible homes. Floorvent is well suited to this scheme due to its simple, one-hour installation and minimal disruption.
It targets heat loss through underfloor draughts and is suitable for large-scale delivery across older housing stock. It helps improve EPC ratings in line with decarbonisation plans and supports net zero targets.
Floorvent’s proven performance, verified energy savings, and PAS compliance make it a strong fit for council-led retrofit programmes.

Trusted by
ECO4 Scheme
AirEx Floorvent is now a fully approved measure under the ECO4 scheme. Designed to support fuel-poor and low-income households, ECO4 targets homes in SAP bands D to G, focusing on whole-house upgrades.
Floorvent is recognised in SAP and RdSAP as a measure that reduces underfloor heat loss. It typically improves SAP scores by 2 to 4 points and delivers average energy bill savings of 12%. This makes it ideal for ECO-funded projects aiming to deliver high impact quickly.
Installation takes around an hour with no internal disruption, helping installers meet delivery targets and maximise project efficiency.
SAP and RdSAP
AirEx Floorvent has been included in the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP and RdSAP) since 2022. It is included in SAP2012 and SAP10 through Appendix Q. A calculation sheet is available from the BRE website and this can be included in SAP and RdSAP software tools through “Special Features”. Guidance on how to do this is available [here]
This means Floorvent is ready to be used confidently across retrofit programmes, helping unlock funding and accelerate EPC improvements.
PAS2035/2030
All measures installed as part of a PAS 2035 retrofit need to be completed to the standards set out in the appropriate PAS 2030 annexe. For Floorvent the relevant annexe is: B.2 Measure BFM.2 - Draught proofing
AirEx Floorvent classification as a draught proofing system is confirmed by the BBA and Ofgem have confirmed this is the measure description Floorvent sits under in the ECO4 framework.
Installers should ensure they have appropriate accreditation for Draught proofing and speak to their scheme provider about the route to upgrading their accreditation if necessary.
