About this notice

This privacy notice is for Airex Technologies Ltd (formerly U-Floor Technologies Ltd), (referred to as “Airex“, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice). We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10017714 whose registered office is at Sustainable Workspaces Riverside Building, County Hall 3rd, Westminster Bridge Road, London, England, SE1 7PB. Airex respects your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice explains, amongst other things, how and why we collect, store, use and share personal data and your rights with regards to this. We collect, use and are responsible for certain personal data. When we do so we are regulated under data protection laws and we are responsible as “data controller” of that personal information for the purposes of the law. How we get personal information and why we have it

Personal data is information about an individual from which could be used to identify that individual. We collect, store and use personal data for different purposes which are outlined below. In each case there is a ‘lawful basis’ for processing this data which could be that:

  • You have consented to this

  • It is necessary in order to fulfil a contract

  • There is a “legitimate interest”

  • Compliance with legal obligations

We may store and process the personal data you have provided for the purposes of:

Responding to an enquiry

If you contact Airex through a form on our website, via email, over the phone or in person we may store the data you provide us (typically name, contact details, and the nature of your enquiry) for the purposes of responding to your enquiry. The lawful basis for this is that there is a legitimate interest in that it is essential in order to run our business. We store your data for up to two years following the last contact we have with you.  

Contacting you regarding your Airex system

If you have an Airex system installed in your home we may store your contact information (name, postal address, email address and phone number) for the purpose of providing you with access to your account and contacting you regarding your installation e.g. providing notifications when a battery change is required. The lawful basis for this is that there is a legitimate interest in that it is essential in order to run our business and provide you with information about your installation. You or the person or organisation which installed the Airex system provided these details through the Airex account creation process. We store your data for up to two years following the last contact we have with you or your Airex system.  

Business communication

If you work for one of our clients, suppliers or another related organisation we may store your name, company, job title and contact details for the purposes of containing you in this capacity. This data may have been provided by you or your employer or in some cases may be from publicly available sources. The lawful basis for this is that there is a legitimate interest in that it is essential in order to run our business. We store your data for up to two years following the last contact we have with you.  

Recruitment

If you apply to join our team we may hold any personal information you (or a third party) provide to us, this may include your name, contact details and CV for the purposes of considering you for a role. and evaluating your application. The lawful basis for this is that there is a legitimate interest in that it is essential in order to run our business. We store your data for up to six months following the last contact we have with you if you are unsuccessful.  

How and why we may share your personal data 

We may share your personal data with selected third parties in order to provide essential services that enable us to run our business. These organisations typically act as “data processors” and may include providers of key cloud based software such as:

  • Web hosting

  • CRM

  • Document storage

  • Email

  • Accounting

  • Data servers

Both AirEx and some of our data processors use cloud based IT systems that store data in locations around the world. When this is the case, one of the transfer safeguard mechanisms required by data protection legislation is utilised.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
